Helpful Travel Tips

Mandolin Creek Lodge is located in a very rural setting. The only practical way to get here is by car. There are no shuttles, buses, trams, or other public transportation that will bring you closer than Philomath.

Nearest Airports

It is a one hour drive from the Eugene Airport.

It is a two hour drive from the Portland Airport.

Extreme Weather

In extreme weather, the Lodge has been cut off from the world by falling trees, flooding, and snow. We can cut the trees away, but the river ebbs and flows on its own schedule. Snow fall and melt can be unpredictable. Fortunately, these events are very rare, but something seems to happen every Winter.

Trips To Town

If you will be staying for a couple of days, be sure to bring everything you need, because a trip to town can easily take a couple of hours out of your day. If you're staying longer, plan your trips to town carefully.
